The magician explains that he will recreate the famous feat of the man who catches a cannonball with his hands. However, due to certain restrictions, he will do it with a scaled-down, drawn cannon, not a real one.
He shows a card with a cannon drawn on it and explains that if the cannon is flat, the cannonball must also be flat, revealing a thin cannonball. The ball is placed inside the cannon, and as the spectator drums the beat, the ball is shot out, and the magician catches it in the air. Everything is examined before and after performing the effect!
