Harmington Du Teatre Robert Houdin - Poster

Advertising poster of Harmington (Charles Fauque 1860 - 1947) during his performances at the famous Robert Houdin Theater. Founded by the man considered the father of Modern Magic, this theater hosted the most famous magicians of the time and was also the location for George Méliès' early film shoots. From its inception, cinema had a strong connection with magic. The poster highlights the importance of the theater, with its name larger than that of the magician, and features its facade with a large audience in the upper right corner. The central image shows the magician being announced with trumpets, and in the other corners, the stage with the audience and various magic acts are depicted.
